James Radford

James Radford is a multi-award winning composer, music supervisor and producer.

He has "an inspired understanding" of the relationship between music and picture.

With over 20 years of experience in the music industry James composes music for

all forms of media including film, television and commercials. He has produced,

licensed and provided creative music searches for over 150 television commercials

and campaigns in the UK and Worldwide.

James studied Film and Commercial Music at The Royal Academy Of Music.

Graduating in 2000 he received several Awards for his composition and original

music including the BMI Award, Lansdowne Recording Award and the

Wilton Cole Prize.

He was extremely honoured to be appointed an Associate of The Royal Academy

Of Music in 2007.

James has won several Awards for his work as both a Composer and Music

Supervisor including three Gold British Arrows Awards, three Cannes Lions Grand

Prix Awards, and multiple additional Gold awards including Cresta, Kinsale, Shots,

D&AD and LIA. In addition his work for CALM “The Last Photo” earned him the

highly sought after LBB “Immortal” Award. One of only four commercials

internationally to achieve this status in 2022.

In 2022-2023 Radford Music became the most awarded commercial music company

in the UK after winning a total of 12 different awards.
